Moody Point

Originally an “upside down” contemporary we transformed this residence into a crisp version of Maine Coast Shingle Style. To maximize and maintain the distant ocean views the floor plan remained mainly as it was.

We introduced new detail on the interior and added a new two story addition off the back side.

The new addition houses an artist studio on the lower level and a new kitchen and Master Bath on the main level. The existing roof was removed and re-built with a greater slope allowing us to create an open loft space on the upper level with views to the ocean and spaces below. New cedar shingle siding, windows, trim, and a stone base at the entry enhance the shingle style vernacular.
