An original turn of the century farm house with a series of modern upgrades over the years was spatially inadequate for the current owners. To address the short comings of the house our task was to design a new addition comprised of an updated large kitchen, dining and living space, and large screen porch on the main level. The upper level of this new addition accommodates a new master suite, guest room, new bath rooms and laundry.
An existing attached barn was disassembled and then re-built to match it's size reclaiming many of it's original elements in the reconstruction. Aesthetically the new addition and rebuilt barn blends seamlessly with the original main house which remains the focal point.
