This accessory structure contains a regulation size half basketball court, a large workout space, pool lounge, 3 car garage with vertical lifts, a recreation room, and supporting spaces. The basketball court on the lower level is accessed by the main stairway which is located in the upper level entry. It also has direct exterior access allowing flow to the outdoors. There is a concourse that surrounds the court below on two sides. The concourse leads to the pool lounge, workout space, and also connects to the garage & recreation room.
The basketball court is structurally supported with exposed glulam beams which accentuates it's volume. The basketball players truly feel as if they are playing in an arena with spectators looking down upon them from the concourse above. The pool lounge supports an existing swimming pool and along with the workout space enjoys beautiful views of Great Bay beyond. The recreation room is located above the garage and is open with an exposed cupola brightening the space.
These new structures complete the compound which also contains the 6,500 s.f. main residence that we designed previously.
