Bayberry

Located on the Maine coast this contemporary shingle style residence replaces an existing house that was inadequate for the needs of our client. The new residence is designed as an upside down house. The lower level accommodates one of two Master Suites, two support Bed Rooms, a Common gathering space, a Sun Room along with support spaces. The support spaces include a mud room off the two car garage, Laundry and Bath Room. The lower Level also is where the Main Entrance to the house is located which is adjacent to a large covered porch.

The Upper Level includes a Great Room, Kitchen, Upper Master Suite, Study, along with two separate exterior decks. There are ocean views on three sides and the floor plan is arranged so that all of the spaces are able to enjoy the view. Large two over one double hung windows draws the beautiful view into the house. The Great Room and Kitchen which forms the core of the house is contained in a cathedral space. This space is warm and inviting and openly flows out to each exterior deck.
The overall feel of the house both exterior and interior is informal and welcoming to family and friends.
